What is online check-in?

Checking-in online is the process by which you can print your boarding card at home so you can save queuing time at the airport. On arrival at the terminal, passengers who have already checked in online and printed their boarding passes only need to drop their baggage off in the appropriate area before proceeding to security controls. The time that you can start checking in online varies between airlines but is usually between 24 hours to 1 or 2 hours before departure (Low Cost carriers may allow check-in from 30 days to 1 to 2 hours before departure). Please note that some airlines, especially Low Cost carriers, may charge you a penalty if you do not print your boarding pass prior to your arrival at the airport.

How it works?

You can do your online check-in yourself on the airline's website. To do so, you'll need to provide your booking reference number. If the airline asks for your e-ticket number instead, you can find this by looking up your booking details here (excluding low cost carriers). Once you have your boarding passes, you'll need to print them and take them with you to the airport.
