2. Satisfy your winter dreams in Interlaken
This winter sport lover’s dream town is wedged between three gigantic mountains on a Swiss alluvial plain. With over 200 kilometers of ski pistes and 220 kilometers of winter walking trails it’s a veritable playground for those looking to crush calories in the cold.
3. Soak up culture in Cambodia
The bareable (‘only’ about 29 degrees) portion of the dry season in Cambodia runs from November to January. Beach bums will come for the uncrowded spots under the winter sun and will stay for the open minded and hospitable Buddhist locals.

This burgeoning Uruguayan playground peninsula and its beach/party/sleep routine touches 25 degrees daily. If you want to avoid the crowds, go in March. Feeling brave? Hit it head on in January for one of the best Carnival celebrations in the world.
5. Take a city break in Vilnius, Lithuania
Lithuania‘s capital simply doesn’t get the same city break respect as other Baltic state cities. Here the bright Baroque beauty, tangible Cold War history, rebellious spirit, and 5 euro meals make it one of Europe’s most underrated destinations.
6. Go to the carnival in Rio de Janeiro

7. Ski the mountains of Whistler
One of the top places to visit this winter has to be the Canadian ski resort town of Whistler. Arguably the best ski resort in the world. Reachable in 90 minutes from Vancouver after taking one of the world’s most scenic drives on the Sea to Sky Highway. 8. Go big on New year’s eve in Miami
If a picture is worth a thousand words then why do we even bother writing this one?
