Where are you right now? Are you by chance on holiday in Paris, Barcelona, London or another destination in Europe? Did you know that this Saturday as the sun goes down many people, instead of going to bed, will be heading out to take part in the European Night of Museums?
Yes, Europe will be hosting its Night of Museums this Saturday 14 May 2011 from around 8 p.m. until 1 p.m. It only takes place once every year so this is your opportunity to visit and explore your favourite museums or art galleries – free of charge! This initiative was launched six years ago in France with the support of UNESCO and this year more than 2,000 museums in 40 countries across Europe will be taking part.
If you are on holiday this weekend make sure you take this opportunity to visit your favourite museums or galleries free of charge. The opening hours may vary slightly depending on the museum and all the information is online.
