Berlin is quite the place to be in February. During this month, the city hosts its annual International Film Festival and you can buy tickets for it online from the 7 February.
The event, also known as the Berlinale, will take place between the 10 and 20 February this year in different venues all over the city and it is famous for its Gold and Silver Bear awards.
February is also a good time to travel to Berlin for a city break or romantic Valentine’s Day. The city has lots going on, great restaurants, bars, entertainment, as well as amazing history to discover. Perhaps it isn’t everyone’s cup of tea for a summer holiday (unless you don’t like the seaside or sun), but it is one of the top destinations for a winter/spring/autumn city break. Most people love the chance to stay in a luxury hotel in Berlin, see the Berlin Wall, Brandenburg Gate and enjoy the great variety of restaurants.
