Air Corsica’s Baggage Policy: What You Need to Know

If you’re about to fly Air Corsica and don’t want to get stuck paying extra baggage fees then pay good attention to what you’re about to read.

Here’s everything you’ll ever need to know about Air Corsica’s baggage policy.

Air Corsica’s Hand Baggage Allowance

Allowable pieces of carry-on baggage are dependent on the type of airplane used for travel.

• ATR 72-500 flights have a maximum allowable weight of 8 kg
• A320-200 flights have a maximum allowable weight of 12 kg

The maximum dimensions for any piece of hand baggage are 55 x 35 x 25 cm and both planes permit an additional personal item or accessory no larger than 15 cm thick.

Air Corsica’s Checked Baggage Allowance

The maximum size of any checked baggage regardless of class is 158 cm (width + height + depth).

Anything heavier than 32kg will not be accepted and should be sent as air cargo at air cargo rates.

The allowance depends on the ticket booked:

• S/W/A class tickets can check up to two 23 kg bags
• Other classes can check in one 23 kg bag

Air Corsica Excess Baggage Fees

If you exceed the permitted free baggage allowance by number, dimension and/or weight you will be charged a flat excess baggage fee at the check-in window at the airport.

Air Corsica’s excess baggage fees are determined by your departure or destination.

Regional Flights from Paris

• Excess baggage charge (between 23 kg and 32 kg): €20
• Supplementary baggage: €20 first bag, €55 second bag, €55 each additional bag
• Over 158cm surcharge: €20

Paris-Corsica

• Excess baggage charge (between 23 kg and 32 kg): €20
• Supplementary baggage: €70 first bag, €70 second bag, €70 each additional bag
• Over 158cm surcharge: €20

The Rest of Europe

• Excess baggage charge (between 23 kg and 32 kg): €55
• Supplementary baggage: €55 first bag, €75 second bag, €75 each additional bag
• Over 158cm surcharge: €55

Special Items

Some items may be subject to additional fees and should be noted on the reservation prior to check-in by contacting Air Corsica’s customer service hotline at +33 825 35 35 35.

Equipment

• Bicycle/tandem: €55/France, €75 Europe
• Water sports equipment: included if smaller than 107 cm and 23 kg, otherwise €55/France, €75 Europe
• Scuba tanks: €20/France, €40 Europe
• Sport/Hunting weapons: €20/France, €40 Europe
• Ammunition: €20/France, €40 Europe with a maximum of 5 kg

All other sports equipment is included in your allowance and can be taken free provided they don’t exceed baggage limits.

Animals

All animals traveling within the European Union need to be properly identified by a passport and microchip authorized by a veterinarian to ensure the animal has all of its vaccines.

Animal in the Hold

Dogs and cats older than 8 weeks with a maximum weight of 75 kg (cage included) are permitted.

• France: €20
• To/from Paris: €40
• Europe: €40

Animal in the Cabin

Dogs and cats older than 8 weeks with a maximum weight of 8 kg (cage included) are permitted.

• France: €20
• To/from Paris: €20
• Europe: €40

Other Useful Information

Air Corsica flights within the EU apply the following restrictions to liquids in carry-on baggage:

• Liquids and gels with a maximum printed quantity of 100ml
• Containers must be carried in a plastic bag and presented at airport security
• Medicine can be transported outside the bag but must be presented at security

Duty free liquid goods must be brought aboard in a sealed bag.
